Dedicated to one of the most awesome experiences I have ever had with His amazing creatures. Since I am a "critter person" I have been around a lot of them but there is something about an "Eagle" that is hard to describe in words.

Let's Pretend

For my Friends on the eagle cam. We can pretend together that this is Liberty or Belle, who has found a fish for lunch today.

Dec 15 Quad Cities eagles

As I headed back to my car from this video, 2 more passed right over me. I heard the wings go over my head they were so close. It was an awesome experience, I can't describe the swoosh sound of all those feathers on that bird. Awesome!

The Eagles have landed in the QCA

This is by far the BEST video of the day!!!

Soaring by the Bridge.

Nice soaring. Windy so a little hard to hear me AND the wind at the same time. Actually my inflection makes me laugh when I listen to it, but I was having fun, and I knew someone was actually wanting to see my videos this year!!! If you want to view any of these videos in a large frame just click on the You Tube Logo and it will take you to their viewer. Click on last button on right of their screen at bottom. This movie however is actually clearer in the smaller view I think.

Eagle goes fishing...did he catch a fish?

Watch for the Eagle soaring infrom the left and follow him. He will swoop down for a fish. I didn't see that he caught one. I really don't know for sure, but he did go fishing.

Quad City Eagles starting to return for the New Season

Since I live in the Quad City area, I wanted to share a photo from yesterday of an eagle with lunch in talons. This is about 10 minutes from where I live actually. I will be scouting around as time permits and share photos here of the Eagles in our area. I can't get enough of the Eagles in general.

The start of something Magnificent, but I had no idea at the time.

Actually it was my birthday in 2004, and since all my family lives far away now, I was looking for a unique way to celebrate "MY day. I decided to drive to a few spots I knew along the Mississippi and see if I could spot an eagle or two. I did in fact spot 3 or 4 that day and was absolutely thrilled to actually stand under a tree..."Now that I know more about them, I might be a little more careful of where I actually stand"! Anyway I had never been that close to an eagle before. I also saw several soaring over the river. What an awesome Majestic sort of bird. What a fun and special way to spend part of my birthday.
